Stakeholder meetings provide a mechanism for direct communication between the Scottish Government and stakeholders, particularly in disseminating current issues to their membership and providing a sounding board to inform policy development and implementation.
A well established Animal Health and Welfare stakeholder group meets regularly to discuss a range of issues. This group forms the core of the stakeholder group for liaison on the Foot and Mouth disease outbreaks in Surrey.
