Population

In 1900, Scotland's population was around 4.4 million. By 1999, Scotland's population had reached just over 5.1 million. During the late 1960's and 70's the population of Scotland was above 5.2 million. The population of Scotland is projected to decline slightly to 5.08 million by 2016.
