15. Reports/ Orders by Ethnic Groups (table 44)

15.1 Information on the self-reported ethnic group of clients of Criminal Justice Social Work was included in the statistical collection for the first time in 2001-02. This year, all local authorities were able to provide the information for the main types of report/ order.

15.2 Table 44 shows the distribution of Social Enquiry Reports, Community Service Orders, Probation Orders and Supervised Attendance Orders between ethnic groups. The overwhelming majority of orders is given to white persons, and there is a significant proportion of orders going to the ‘Unknown’ ethnic group.
