Source: Employment Service, New Deal Evaluation Database.
Notes:
(1) Figures refer to the last Friday of each month.
(2) Those identified by Employment Service (ES) as having joined New Deal, including those who have received an initial invitation, but have not yet attended their first interview
(3) Those who have completed the Advisory Interview Process and not taken up an opportunity, plus those who have started unsubsidised employment or left JSA for reasons other than starting subsidised employment or other provision. Subsequent data may be revised upwards as leavers from WBTA/TfW and current ES provision are monitored.
(4) Totals include those for whom gender is not recorded. For this reason, and also because of rounding, components will not necessarily sum to totals.
(5)Those recorded by ES as having a physical or mental impairment which has a substantial and long-term effect on their ability to carry out normal day to day activities.
(6) 'Quarter' given is actually March - June, to include starters between 26th March (start of programe) and 1st April.
