Project Progress

In the health sector, one Public PP has proceeded to financial close since the seventh edition. This projects is:

The provision of daycase facility and relocation of maternity services to Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary (Capital Value £10m).

The contract was signed on 22 March by Dumfries & Galloway Acute & Maternity Hospitals NHS Trust and Dumfries Facilities Ltd.

It is for the provision of a new build dedicated day case unit and co-located but separate new build maternity facility at the Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary thereby transferring maternity and neo-natal services from Cresswell Maternity Hospital in Dumfries.

To date, 40 projects with a capital value of £507m have now been completed or contracts have been signed in the health sector. In addition there may be a number of other small projects, which fall within Trust and Health Board delegated limits, for which information is not held centrally.
