THE PETERHEAD UNIT - GUIDANCE

1. The Unit is subject to the Prison and YOI's Scotland 1994 Rules.

4. The Unit operates MDT and has its own policy on drug abuse. See attached contract.

5. No personal visitors are permitted in the Cellular Area.

6. There is no prisoner access to the staff administration area.

7. Concerns or complaints will be dealt with either through a range of communication options within the Unit or through the Prisoners Complaint Procedure.

8. The following are non-negotiable aspects of the Units operations:

• Security issues;
• Staffing of the Unit;
• Other prisoner referrals or transfers.

9. The Governor retains the right to the final decision on day to day aspects of prisoner management.
