Trunk Road Biodiversity Action Plan: Review for Discussion

This document is being circulated as a Review for Discussion. Feedback on the
content and applicability of the Plan are welcomed. In particular, comments
and suggestions are sought on the following points:
- Practical measures described in Part B (The Toolkit), which will help guide
the actions taken by contractors and staff. For example, how best to benefit
biodiversity in landscape design and management.
- Area-specific examples of species and habitats of value on or adjacent to
the road corridor, and information on species and habitats affected by particular
trunk roads where mitigation may be possible.
- Suggestions for appropriate targets/actions relating to the National Heritage
Zones used as area designations in Part C.
- How this document can best contribute to the UK objectives for biodiversity
and to Local Biodiversity Action Plans.
