Appropriate Paediatric Consulting Facilities with the following:

• Light source
• Colposcope
• Video link
• Kit for: Bacteriology/virology samples

  Blood samples for clotting studies

HIV/HEP status

• Medical photography
• X-ray
• Standard referral form
• Standard proformas for the CMA, Specialist Paediatric and Joint Paediatric/Forensic Examination
• Secure video storage facilities
• Laboratory support including out of hours services
• Out of hours specialist services e.g. haematology
• Radiology support which will include the access to expert opinion on films and specialist investigation such as MRI
• Information leaflet especially regarding medical services and post abuse support service
• Physical evidence recovery kit: For use following acute sexual assault provided by policeforensic samples going to police laboratory
• Police photographs.
