Summary tables
This section consists of some summary tables, which will be updated and repeated in subsequent bulletins, to provide the reader with a set of key figures from the survey that can easily be referred to.
The figures in the tables are the percentages of people, households or adults with the relevant characteristic. For example, the first row of Table A shows that 47% of people living in Scottish [private] households are male. All the percentages are calculated after the sample numbers have been re-weighted as described in Section 10. The last row of the table shows that there was a total (unweighted) of 15,330 people in the surveyed households.
Similarly, the first row of Table B shows that 16% of Scottish [private] households consist of a single adult, with no children. The last row of Table B shows that a total (unweighted) of 6,546 households were interviewed in the survey.
In Table G, the first row shows that 71% of men (aged 17+), and 73% of adults aged 25-34, hold a full driving licence. And the last row shows that interviews were held with a total (unweighted) of 6,117 randomly-chosen adults
