Developing action plans

Specify range of interventions that will achieve objectives

   

Appoint lead agencies and individuals accountable for each intervention

   

Decide who will prepare action plans

   

Conduct secondary research to obtain further detail on problems if required

   

Agree inputs, output targets (and associated performance indicators) and milestones for each intervention

   

Finalise outcome targets and set associated performance indicators

   

Review programme to make sure that it is properly focussed and achievable

   

Monitoring, evaluation and feedback

Decide who will monitor the interventions

   

Select interventions for evaluation

   

Prepare monitoring and evaluation plans

   

Set up mechanisms for monitoring projects and providing management information

   

Set up mechanisms for making sure the partnership is aware of changes in patterns of community safety problems in area

   

Implement strategies

   

Prepare quarterly progress reports and annual report

   

Send annual report to the Scottish Executive

   

Post-intervention evaluation against outcome targets
