BUILDINGS OF PURPOSE GROUP 1
(R2.1, R2.3, R2.4) The requirements of R2.1, R2.3 and R2.4 will be met where -
a. chutes and hoppers are installed in accordance with Clause 9 of BS5906:1980 (1987), as read with BS1703: 1977; and
b. associated storage chambers are constructed in accordance with Clause 10 of BS5906: 1980 (1987).
(R2.6) The requirements of R2.6 will be met -
a. for an access road if it is provided in accordance with Clause 13 of BS5906: 1980 (1987), except that the minimum unobstructed width may be 3m where adequate provision for turning, passing and car parking is made; and
b. for a path if it has a surface suitable for pedestrian traffic and is -
i. where it serves 1 or 2 dwellings, 900mm wide, or
ii. where it serves more than 2 dwellings, 1200mm wide.
SOLID WASTE STORAGE ACCOMMODATION
(R2.7) The requirements of R2.7 will be met where the storage capacity of the accommodation is in accordance with the relevant recommendations of Clauses 6 and 8 of BS5906: 1980 (1987).
(R2.9) The requirements of R2.9 will be met where the headroom, ventilation and artificial lighting are in accordance with the relevant recommendations of Clause 6 and 8 of BS5906: 1980 (1987).
(R3.4) The requirements of R3.4 will be met where the covers or fences for farm effluent tanks are in accordance with the relevant recommendations of Section 8 of BS5502: Part 50: 1993.
