Books for Charophytes and various invertebrate groups. They have been updated for the
latter to take account of JNCC review of scarce and threatened species, and use pre-1994
criteria. Other groups are derived from Red Data book for lichens and the JNCC ‘pink
list’ using 1994 IUCN criteria. 2 As listed on Schedule 1 (birds), 5 (animals) & 8 (plants) of the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981. Schedules 2 (animals) & 4 (plants) of The Conservation (Natural Habitats &c.) Regulations 1994.
