| 1 Consumers’ expenditure
measures expenditure by households and private non-profit making bodies resident in a
region. 2 The introduction of the community charge in April 1989 in Scotland (and in April 1990 in England and Wales) introduced a discontinuity in the estimates of consumers’ expenditure as community charge, and subsequently council tax payments are not included in consumers’ expenditure. 3 Provisional. |
