1 Population refers to total practice list size aged 15 years or over of the selected 39 practices as at October 1996.
The rates calculated for Oral Contraceptive Pill and Menopause are based on the total population of the 39 practices.
The rate based on the female population aged 15-44 of the 39 practices for Oral Contraceptive Pill is 216 consultations per 1,000 population. The rate based on the female population aged 45-64 of the 39 practices for Menopause is 415 consultations per 1,000 population.
