(3)  There is a small discontinuity from September 1991 within the service and construction industries due to improvement in the classification of some local authority employees in the 1991 Census of Employment.
(4)  Male/female & part-time/full-time splits at industry level are not available from December 1996 due to changes in survey methodology which reduced the burden on business.
