9.1 The following table shows distinct new sites which became vacant or derelict since the last survey.

9.2 Table 16, shows that there are now 192 hectares (96 sites)of new derelict land since the last survey. Of these 52 hectares (16 sites) were in Glasgow, 27 hectares (8 sites) were in Inverclyde. For vacant land, there were 234 hectares of new vacant land (268 sites), of which 31 hectares (19 sites) were in Renfrewshire and 31 hectares (59 sites) were in Glasgow.

9.3 Of the 426 hectares (364 sites) of new vacant and derelict land, 395 hectares (347 sites) which is 93 per cent of the total, are in urban areas, whilst 31 hectares (16 sites) are in rural areas.
