Practices employed at Perth which are commended to other establishments to consider adopting

1. Prisoners selected to work in the kitchen were taken through an induction programme before they started work (paragraph 7.2 and Annex 2).

2. All admissions from ethnic minority backgrounds were provided with a card with the EMLO’s name on it so that immediate contact could be made if required (paragraph 9.46).
