HMIC will consider examination of the following areas at the review inspection.
1 The outcome of proposals for change in the deployment of superintendent
posts (paragraph 1.15).
2 The new arrangements in respect of corporate communications (paragraphs
2.19).
3 The developing HR database, which will link to other IT applications (paragraphs
3.12).
4 The outcome of the Best Value review on staff development (paragraph
3.31).
5 The issue of attendance management and the levels of working days lost
(paragraph 3.39).
6 The outcome of the review of the Local Authority Liaison Officer (LALO)
role (paragraph 4.4).
7 The progress and evaluation of the force partnership initiative with Barnardo's
(paragraph 4.42).
8 Experience of the devolvement of police salary costs for 2002/03 to the
Assistant Chief Constable (paragraph 4.65).
9 The development and use of complaint management information (paragraph
5.4).
10 Progress on the Professional Standards Department Strategy Document, Strategic
Action Plans and Policy Document (paragraph 5.14).
11 Progress in the adoption of a Lay Visitor Scheme within the force area
(paragraph 5.41).
12 The outcome of the post implementation review into the restructuring of
road policing (paragraph 5.136).
