The format of the Review Process is to list the recommendations (and observation/suggestion) of HMIC, followed by the force position (with supporting references) and comment by HMIC. That approach is to be found in Chapters 3 and 4.
While the bulk of the Review process relies upon written material HMIC may visit the force for discussion and further enquiry on specific matters. Supporting evidence may be required from the Police Force by submission to HMIC of relevant documentation. Where either of these steps are taken that is reflected at the appropriate point in the material which follows.
