Scottish Hydrogen Industry Forum

Overview

We have created the Scottish Hydrogen Industry Forum (SHIF) to bring together key industry figures to help:

  • drive forward the hydrogen economy in Scotland collaboratively
  • ensure Scottish Government policy and action remains responsive to technological and market developments
  • maximise the decarbonisation and economic benefit for businesses and communities

The establishment of the SHIF was a commitment we made in the Hydrogen Action Plan (2022)

The SHIF’s focus is to:

  • provide insight into and understanding of the challenges facing this emerging sector
  • improve and increase possible solutions to barriers to deployment
  • inform developing our policy
  • help inform engagement with the UK Government on the wider hydrogen economy
  • help realise our ambitions.
