Scottish Industrial Development Advisory Board (SIDAB)
Policy and Financial Management Review 2003
SIDAB is a Non-Departmental Public Body (NDPB) which provides
advice on large (over £250,000) offers of
Regional Selective Assistance (RSA) in Scotland.
The review will be carried out by Mr Douglas Blair. Mr Blair
is the Innovation Adviser to the Scottish Executive Enterprise
and Lifelong Learning Department and has previously worked alongside Departmental
staff to bring cases to SIDAB.
There will be two stages to the review. The first stage will
focus on whether there is a continuing need for SIDAB and the functions it carries
out. If Scottish Ministers conclude that an NDPB continues to be the appropriate
body to meet their objectives, the second stage of the review will then examine
in detail SIDAB’s procedures and practices.
A single consultation will seek
views on both stages of the review
Details of the Board’s composition
and remit are attached.
