| Subsection (15) allows Ministers, if they consider it to be in the public interest, to consent to an application where the applicant is not a crofting community body but is incorporated in the same manner. Section 81: Criteria for consent by Ministers This section provides that Ministers must satisfy themselves about certain matters before consenting to a crofting community right to buy. Subsection (1) sets out a list of requirements which Ministers must establish have been met before their consent to a crofting community right to buy is given. Subsection (2) expands on the meaning of public interest for the purposes of the requirement at subsection (1)(m) and in particular provides that the interests of any community body defined for the purposes of Part 2 of the Bill must be taken into account. |
