Dr Bee Berx

Job Title

Physical Oceanographer

Current Work:

My research currently focuses on studying circulation and water mass properties in the Faroe Shetland Channel and flow of Atlantic water into the Nordic Seas. In addition I also provide support and advice to colleagues on shelf sea circulation and numerical modelling.

ProjectsDescription
"Baseline Ecosystem Monitoring" (ST03P), which also contributes to the EU-project "Thermo-Haline Overturning - at Risk?" (THOR)My contribution to this project and the related EU THOR-project is to process and analyse current meter (Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler) and water column property (Conductivity-Temperature-Depth) measurements to study the circulation in the Faroe Shetland Channel and the variability in Atlantic Water inflow into the Nordic Seas.

EducationPeriodDescription
