The Tripartite Working Group (TWG) was established in 1999 with the aim of achieving healthy and sustainable farmed and wild salmonid stocks on the west coast of Scotland. Its purpose was to address problems common to salmon farming and wild salmon fisheries and to seek solutions for a sustainable future in both sectors.
It was chaired by the Scottish Government with other members of the group being representatives from the salmon farming industry and wild fisheries interest groups:
