Importing and Exporting Fish and Shellfish

Great Britain has a high health status with regards to fish, shellfish and crustaceans. To protect this and prevent the spread of disease, imports must come from countries, zones or farms with at least the equivalent health status. Imports from countries, zones or farms that have a lower health status are prevented.

These pages provide guidance on importing and exporting fish, shellfish and crustaceans. If you have a specific query please contact a member of the imports/exports team in the Fish Health Inspectorate or the Duty Inspector.
