What will I have to do

If you choose to submit an SoI

The SoI is a straightforward online process.

  • It can be accessed from the Scottish Government website, at Rural Payments Online then follow the link to Rural Development Contracts, Rural Priorities, Statement of Intent.
  • It will ask you a number of questions about yourself and your Proposal. You should complete all the details requested on screen.
  • You will be asked for a brief outline of your intentions and an indication of which regional priority (or priorities), packages and options you are aiming to deliver.
  • You must provide a map of your land where any land-based Options are proposed. If you choose to bypass the SoI assessment a map must be submitted with your Proposal.

Guidance on how to complete the online Statement of Intent application form is available below the menu on the left.

If you choose to bypass the SoI
  • In effect you will be proceeding directly to the Proposal stage. You will receive no initial feedback from a Case Officer.
  • You should only use this option if you are confident that your proposal is suitable for funding.
  • You must provide a map of your land where any land-based Options are proposed.
  • Your decision to bypass SoI and feedback is at your own risk.

Guidance on how to complete your Proposal online can be found in the Online Proposal Guidance from the menu on the left.
