Once you have received feedback on your statement of intent from a Case Officer you may proceed to the preparation of a detailed Proposal.
If your SoI receives an amber rating funding is available for the preparation of your Proposal. There is guidance available on the funding of Outcome Plans.
If your SoI received a RED rating, you can proceed to the preparation of a detailed Proposal without revising your SoI if you wish. However, you will not be eligible for any funding towards the preparation of an Outcome Plan. Please also note that should you proceed with the preparation of a detailed Proposal after receiving a RED SoI rating, unless you address the reasons for receiving a red rating in your Proposal, you risk the Case Officer rejecting your Proposal at the Proposal assessment stage.
Your Proposal should comprise the following three integral parts:
Proposal Assessment and Scoring
Once you have completed all three parts of a proposal (including the online proposal pages), have received some feedback from your Case Officer on at least one draft of your proposal, and you are satisfied you have supplied all the information requested, you can commit your Proposal for final assessment and scoring by the Case Officer. Once the Case Officer has assessed and scored your proposal they will present it to the Regional Proposal Assessment Committee (RPAC) for consideration at their next assessment meeting.
The RPAC will recommend to Scottish Ministers whether your Proposal should receive funding through the SRDP, either in whole or in part.
Ongoing approval process for forestry option only applications
If your proposal is limited to specific Regional Priorities and only contains Forestry Options then we may be able to approve your application without referring it to the RPAC. Your application will still be assessed and scored in the normal way and must achieve the threshold score set by the NPAC. In these cases the RPAC decision will be delegated to the FCS Conservator.
