What was the Agri-Environment Payment Rate Review?
The Agri-Environment Review was carried out in 2005. It was created because of concerns expressed by stakeholders about the revised payment rates for agri-environment schemes. A review group was established to carry out a review of the payment rates.
The review group consisted of representatives of the following organisations:
- NFU Scotland (NFUS)
- Scottish Rural Property and Business Association
- Scottish Crofters' Foundation
- Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH)
- Scottish Agricultural College (SAC)
- Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group (FWAG) Scotland
- LINK
- The Soil Association
- The Scottish Organic Producers' Association
