What is required to access Rural Payments Online?
Rural Payments Online will operate with a variety of Internet enabled PCs. The minimum requirements for effective use of the system are:
- Internet enabled computer
- Windows 98 or later (PC users)
- Mac OS X 10.4 or later (Apple Mac users)
- Internet Explorer 5.1 or later (PC users)
- Mozilla Firefox 3.0 or later (For all platforms including Windows, Apple Mac and Linux)
Security settings require to have Cipher strength 128-bit encryption. Firefox (version 3.0 or later) supports 128-bit encryption but if you are using a version of Internet Explorer earlier than 7, you may need to install the High Encryption Pack. This can be downloaded from:

The system has been tested with compatible Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox browsers. The use of other browsers may cause problems.
Producers intending to use software developed by a Farm Management Software provider will need to contact their provider to confirm what computer software and hardware is required.
