Sheep and Goats: Identification and Traceability
Legislation requires that all sheep and Goat keepers in Scotland comply with the requirements of the Sheep and Goat (Identification and Traceability) (Scotland) Regulation 2006 as amended by The Sheep and Goats (Identification and Traceability) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2007. This regulation implements the requirements of the European Council Regulation (EC)No. 21/2004 as set by the European Commission.
New sheep and goat movement documents were issued to sheep and goat keepers during May 2008. Supplies of unused old movement pads should now be disposed of but please remember that you need to keep copies of earlier completed movement documents for three years.
