Choosing Scotland's Future

Shaping Scotland's Future

The First Minister has outlined plans for a public consultation on a draft Referendum Bill which sets out proposals for an advisory referendum on extending the powers of the Scottish Parliament.

You can make your opinions known before the consultation closes on Friday, April 30.

The draft Bill includes the proposed ballot papers for a two question referendum.

The first question asks whether the Scottish Parliament should have more devolved responsibility. The consultation paper offers two alternatives for this question.

The second question asks whether the Scottish Parliament should also have its powers extended to enable independence to be achieved.
