The Members of PVS are:


James King (Convener) served on the Rail Passenger Committee (Scotland) prior to its dissolution in 2005 and now represents Scottish and passenger interests. on the boards of Passenger Focus, which attracts an annual rate of £15,300, and the British Transport Police Authority. James was previously Vice Chair of Rail Action Group East of Scotland.


Charles Anderson is a member of the South East Transport Partnership and has a lifetime interest in public transport. He is a former local authority Chief Executive and upon retiral established a transport-related consultancy which focuses on quality.


Anthony Devlin is a Trade Union Official with T&G Scotland and has worked in the transport industry for approximately 20 years. He has chaired National Transport Committees within the trade union movement. He does not hold any other Ministerial appointments.


Christine Dora works for East Lothian Council and is a regular public transport user for leisure and shopping trips, together with her young family.


Ann Henderson has worked in the Scottish Parliament since 1999 and served on the Rail Passenger Committee (Scotland) prior to its dissolution in 2005. She currently works full time as Assistant Secretary with the Scottish Trade Union Congress (STUC).


Irene Kitson is a non executive Board Director of Lothian Buses plc. She is also a member of Parole Board Scotland and a member of the Employment Tribunal which attracts daily rates of £185 and £159 respectively. She is also a Board member of Scottish Enterprise Edinburgh and Lothian and Chair of Nisus Scotland, a voluntary sector organisation assisting people into work.


Gary Lawson is a project manager with the Royal Bank of Scotland Group and has wide experience of managing business change. He served on the Rail Passenger Committee (Scotland) prior to its dissolution in 2005. He does not hold any other Ministerial appointments.


John Murray has spent his working life in school teaching, latterly as Head Teacher of Lochgilphead High School. He is currently secretary of an Comunn Gàidhealach (Argyll Region) and chair of Mod Dhail Riàta. He does not hold any other Ministerial appointments.


Colin Reid is a Professor of Environmental Law at Dundee University. He is a member of the Executive of the Society of Legal Scholars and founding Convener of its Environmental Law Section of the Society of Legal Scholars. Colin serves on several editorial boards, notably Scottish Planning and Environmental Law. He does not hold any other Ministerial appointments.


Jane Steven is a qualified nurse and social worker, with a long history of working on rural community access and transport issues. Jane is now retired but acts in a consultative capacity as a locum Care Commission Officer and was recently appointed as a Public Member of Network Rail in November. She does not hold any other Ministerial appointments.


Bill Ure is a member of Strathclyde Partnership for Transport, and the Scottish representative of the Rail Freight Group. Bill is a member of the Scottish Transport Studies Group and of the Policy Committee of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and was previously a Director of the Rail Passenger Committee Scotland and Secretary of the CalMac Users' Committee. He does not hold any other Ministerial appointments.
