SECRETARIAT
A joint secretariat serves two transport public bodies: the Public Transport Users Committee (PTUC) and the Mobility and Access Committee for Scotland (MACS). The secretariat is staffed by Scottish Government employees and is located in Victoria Quay in Edinburgh.
The Secretariat responsibilities include:
- circulating information to members;
- informing members of consultations;
- updates the website;
- arranges and organises meetings;
- circulates meeting agendas and papers;
- supports Committee and prepares minutes of meetings;
- controls finances;
- co-ordinates appropriate representation by PVS members at external events, and
- facilitate media handling through the Scottish Government's Press Office.
