A joint secretariat serves two transport public bodies: the Mobility and Access Committee for Scotland (MACS) and Passengers' View Scotland (PVS) . The secretariat is staffed by Scottish Government employees and is located in Victoria Quay in Edinburgh.
The Secretariat responsibilities include:
- circulating information to members;
- informing members of consultations;
- updates the website;
- arranges and organises meetings;
- circulates meeting agendas and papers;
- supports Committee and prepares minutes of meetings;
- controls finances;
- co-ordinates appropriate representation by MACS members at external events, and
- facilitate media handling through the Scottish Government's Press Office.
