BTCV - Linking Biodiversity with People and their Environment - £150,000 to develop a pilot project which aims to raise awareness of biodiversity and carry out practical improvements in Nitshill, Glasgow and Calderwood, East Kilbride.
Glasgow Building Preservation Trust - £18,500 was awarded to the Glasgow Building Preservation Trust to enable them to explore the potential for reuse of the building at 73 - 77 Trongate, Glasgow.
Industrial Symbiosis - £200,000 over two years to develop a Scottish Industrial Symbiosis Programme to support and enable resource efficiency and productivity in industry.
Marine Environment - £250,000 to study the sustainable use of marine resources.
Sustainability in Golf - £247,000 over two years to develop projects relating to the sustainable management and development of golf courses.
Sustainable Design in Architecture - £600,000 over two years to encourage more imaginative and pro-active thinking about the relationship between the design of buildings and the Scottish Executive's sustainability objectives both before and during the design process.
Sustainable Scotland Network -Support Officer - £62,000 for a Support Officer post to assist the Sustainable Scotland Network.
Timber Cladding - £30,000 towards a project to investigate the use of external timber cladding in the north and west of Scotland, western Norway, Iceland and the Faroes.
WRAP Aggregates Recycling - £670,000 over two years to fund a comprehensive new programme for Scotland aimed at increasing the country's production and use of secondary aggregates and recycled aggregates.
2004 - 2007
WRAP Aggregates Programme - £1.4 million to continue a comprehensive programme for Scotland aimed at increasing the country's production and use of secondary and recycled aggregates. The project includes capital grant projects, limited provision for research, and dissemination and liaison events.
Sustainable Design in Architecture - £600,000 for a second phase of the programme with increased emphasis on raising awareness and education, and six key areas of development: e-Centre development; client training and guidance, green business strategies/grant aid; events/raising awareness/best practice; tools and techniques; education programme.
Sustainable Scotland Network - extension to March 2007 of the grant at £40,000 in a full year for the Sustainable Scotland Network's Development Officer post, with additional grant (£60,000 in 2006-07) for expanded activity with a second member of staff.
Scottish Industrial Symbiosis Programme- £300,000 for work supporting and enabling resource efficiency in industry - increasing the number and type of companies involved and spreading the geographical area covered.
Sustainability in Golf - £90,000 for one year, 2004-05, for the SGEG's work on sustainability, covering waste management, energy and biodiversity, and spreading awareness of the work done.
Sustainable Development Commission Secretariat - £100,000 for two years initially for the dedicated Secretariat in Scotland.
Biodiversity Strategy implementation and Biodiversity grants - £300,000 per year supporting the Scottish Biodiversity Strategy launched in May and a biodiversity grants programme.
Planning for People - £147,310 over 3 years (£33,982 in 2004-05, £55,841 in 2005-06, £57,487 in 2006-07) to help community groups and voluntary organisations to understand and get involved in the planning system. This supports the Executive's commitment to environmental justice.
Quarrying Survey - contribution of £5,000 to a UK-wide survey to provide better data on mineral resources and their use.

British Geological Survey - grant of £53,900 for a West Lothian Geodiversity Framework project in 2004-05 and 2005-06.
Scottish Civic Forum - offer of grant for "Sus It Out," initially £40,000 in 2005-06 and £90,000 for the year 2006-07, to build capacity in civic society following publication of "Choosing Our Future - Scotland's Sustainable Development Strategy".
