The Scottish Household Survey data provides a reliable evidence base covering a wide cross section of transport topics. The content of the survey was reviewed last year as part of the drive for efficiency and value for money from Government surveys, which is especially important during the current financial climate.
Thank you to those who contributed to this review.
Responses were analysed and fed into the review of the full questionnaire. The provisional allocation of questions to blocks in the new questionnaire are shown in the attached spreadsheet. This consultation is an opportunity to comment on these allocations and identify potential issues.
Space in the questionnaire is limited and it will not be possible to ask each question of the whole sample. Responses to the current and previous consultations will be used as justification to retain questions in future surveys.
Users are requested to consider the SHS questions relevant to their area:
- Do the provisional frequencies meet your requirements?
- Do the Transport Scotland proposed changes look sensible?
- What issues do the proposed question blocks cause?
