TOURISM - Scotland / UK data:

Tourism statistics come from the International Passenger Survey, the UK Tourism Survey (UKTS) and surveys on topics such as day leisure visits, the opinions, attitudes and intentions of tourists, accommodation occupancy and visitor attractions.

The International Passenger Survey is undertaken by the Office for National Statistics.

The UKTS is jointly sponsored by VisitBritain, VisitScotland, Visit Wales and the Northern Ireland Tourist Board.

Much of the information which relates to tourism in Scotland is available in the Research and Statistics pages of the VisitScotland website.
