Earnings
In 2011 the median gross annual full time earnings in Scotland was £25,490, up from £25,205 in 2010. However earnings differ by type of occupation. "Managers and Senior Officials" and "Professional Occupations" have the highest median full time earnings at £36,618 and £36,025 respectively. The occupation group with the lowest median full time earnings is the "Sales and Customer Service Occupations" group at £15,720. Five of the nine occupation groups except saw an increase in median earnings between 2010 and 2011, however it should be noted that this does not take account of cost of living increases.
