Operation of the Homeless Persons Legislation in Scotland

Information on homelessness applications to Scottish local authorities, including data on characteristics of applicant households, local authority responses and households in temporary accommodation.

Note: Due to the nature of the homelessness system whereby cases are sent electronically by the Local Authorities to the Government at various stages of the homeless application process the information collected changes over time as cases are closed and more information is known. Past publications are not amended to reflect these changes so caution should be used for the bulletins prior to 2007-08.

The data contained in the 2007-08 bulletin and the accompanying 2007-08 detailed tables below reflect these changes and can be considered up to date as of September 2008.
