Statistics are available across a range of community care services provided to adults with mental health problems.

Mental Health information

Care Homes for adults with mental health problems
In 2005, there were 103 care homes for adults with mental health problems in Scotland. These catered for around 1,200 adults.
Day Care services for adults with mental health problems
There are 19 day centres in Scotland catering for around 500 adults.
Home Care services for adults with mental health problems
In 2005, nearly 3,000 people with mental health problems received home care services purchased or provided by local authorities in Scotland.
Direct Payments
In 2005, 43 adults used direct payments to purchase mental health services in Scotland.
