Direct Payments
Direct Payments allow eligible people to buy services to meet their community care needs instead of the Local Authority arranging services on their behalf.
Information on direct payments has been collected by the Scottish Executive since 2001 by means of an annual census sent to Local Authorities.
The latest statistics release on Direct Payments can be found in Publications along with further background information on the census.
Further tables on Direct Payments providing detailed Local Authority figures and trends are available as follows.
