Chapter 5 of Scottish Transport Statistics No 27 - 2008 edition, a SG National Statistics publication, provides statistics on the road network together with the sources and definitions.
Description
Table 5.1 provides figures on public road lengths by class, type and speed limit at the 1st April each year for the last 11 years. Table 5.3 provides figures for the length of trunk road constructed in each financial year for the last 11 years. Table 5.2 and 5.4 provides similar figures for the latest year for council areas and operating units respectively.
