UK National Atmospheric Emissions Inventory (NAEI), compiled by AEA under contract to Defra, SG, WAG and the Northern Ireland Department of Environment
Description
Provides statistics showing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from international aviation and shipping. Estimates of GHG emissions from domestic aviation and shipping have previously been reported in the disaggregated inventories. However, in line with international guidelines, emissions associated with international aviation and shipping are not included in the inventory. These data are being published as a standalone document in recognition that this is an indicative assessment of emissions, and not a correction to the already published Greenhouse Gas Inventories for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland: 1990-2006.
