Description

The quality of Scotland's estuarine water according to measures of chemical, biological, nutrient and aesthetic quality. Assessment is made of some 810 square km in 32 estuaries in areas of industrial development or high population density. Section 3 of 'Water Quality Classification 2006' reports on changes to estuarine water classifications between 1999 and 2006. 'Estuarine Classification 1996-2000' gives figures for earlier years.
