Consultations Arrangements
As part of the SCOTSTAT consultation network a Natural Environment Statistics Advisory Committee has been formed to advise the Scottish Executive on environment statistics.
Those wishing to register an interest in various statistics topics are encouraged to register their interest on the SCOTSTAT Register. Those registering an interest on environment matters will be informed by email when relevant statistics reports/websites are published.
SCOTSTAT is a new network for users and providers of Scottish Official statistics. It aims to improve communication amongst those interested in particular statistics and facilitate the setting up of working groups on specific statistical issues.
Planning
Openness about planning and prioritising is a key requirement of National Statistics and of our commitment to users and providers.
- The 2005/06 plan provides a summary of planned outputs and developments in environment statistics.
- A draft 2006/07 plan is available in the Natural Environment Statistics Advisory Committee papers and a revised version will be published here by the end of March 2006.
These plans and priorities are consistent with the view of the Natural Environment Statistics Advisory Committee.
The Statistics Forthcoming Publications list should provide information on future statistical outputs for the coming year. These can be viewed at:
