Household Income and Expenditure

Household Expenditure:

Household expenditure makes up about 60 per cent of Scottish GDP, and as a result has an important part to play in the path of economic growth.  In 2011, Scottish households consumed around £73 billion of goods and services. 

Gross Disposable Household Income:

An experimental series of GDHI has recently been developed for Scotland as part of the Scottish National Accounts Project (SNAP). This measure sums all forms of household income and subtracts taxes and social contributions.
