Bulletin Re-design
We are in the process of re-designing the quarterly Scottish GDP bulletin before the 2010 Q3 publication on the 19th January 2011. During this process we have made reference to the design of the UK GDP Preliminary Estimate Statistical Bulletin produced by the Office for National Statistics and consulted with the Scottish Economic Statistics Consultants Group (SESCG), as well as with a number of internal and external stakeholders. Please see the undernoted link to a draft of how we envisage the new style bulletin looking.
This draft does not contain any newly published statistics and is consistent with the 2010 Q2 results released on the 20th October 2010. The tables provided in previous publications will be included after the 'Background Notes' as per usual. The figures will also be available to download in Excel as with previous Scottish GDP releases.
If you have any comments/concerns regarding this new design please let us know( economic.statistics@scotland.gsi.gov.uk ) before Friday January 7th 2011. In particular we would welcome any comments on whether or not this re-design would help or hinder your interpretation of the statistics compared with the current layout.
