Grant Aided Expenditure Web Site - Latest GAEs
This is the Scottish Government Grant Aided Expenditure ( GAE ) web site. This site provides details of the underlying allocations which determine the distribution of the majority of funding across the 32 Scottish Local Authorities.
The vast majority of individual GAE totals (that is, the amount available for distribution between the 32 Local Authorities) have been frozen at 2007-08 figures. The underlying data used to allocate these totals has been updated and so the distribution of funds amongst Local Authorities has changed.
Additional monies have been made available for Local Authorities as part of the 2007 spending review, but this has no longer been earmarked for particular GAE assessments. Details of the allocation of this are given in Finance Circular 01/2008.
The 2008-11 'Green Book' detailing the 2008-09 base calculations and the 2009-10 and 2010-11 calculations using projected data is available below. The figures shown in these are as at Finance Circular 01/2008.

Please note - figures for all three years of the settlement are actuals. There are no notional figures this time, due to the most recent spending review being put back from 2006 to 2007.
