Consultation

The main consultation network is the SCOTSTAT network. Social and Welfare statistics are dealt with by the SCOTSTAT Social and Welfare Committee. You may also wish to note that the Scottish Executive is represented on the Social and Welfare National Statistics Theme group which addresses issues at a UK level.

You are also invited to register on the SCOTSTAT user register. The SCOTSTAT register allows users and providers of Scottish Statistics to record their interest in specific topics. The register will then be used to target those interested in a particular statistical area.

The Scottish Neighbourhood Statistics project has been developed in consultation with users across Scotland and the UK. Minutes of meetings, discussion papers, geography issues etc are available through http://www.scotland.gov.uk/stats/neighbours/tables/index.asp. Please note that publications on for example the Index of Deprivation, can be accessed through the Publications and Data part of the Social and Welfare website
