The following is a brief description of the transport-related publications which use SHS data. All current and back issues of these can be found at the above link.

Household Transport: some Scottish Household Survey results

providing results for Scotland on topics such as: car availability; frequency of driving, walking and cycling; travel to work and to school. This describes Households' transport facilities and some travel by their members.

Transport Across Scotland: some SHS results for parts of Scotland

providing results for local authority areas on topics such as: car availability; frequency of driving, walking and cycling; travel to work and to school.

This is a biennial publication.

Bus and Coach Statistics

providing results on topics such as: walking time to nearest stop and frequency of service; views on public transport and reasons for not using buses more often. This also provides trends in service provision (vehicle-kilometres), passenger journeys and receipts; availability of services, views on them, and use for commuting.


Travel Diary Results

providing results for Scotland and for local authority areas on Travel Diary topics such as: journey purpose; mode of travel; duration and distance travelled.
